AJ Scores More Seat Time

Laps are still what AJ Allmendinger is searching for. He found plenty of them in the Busch Series, landing a five-race deal to drive the No. 42 Dodge owned by Chip Ganassi Racing.

AJ will begin his Busch career with this weekend’s Camping World 300 at California Speedway. The 25-year-old also will compete in four other companion events. The No. 42, previously run by Juan Pablo Montoya to assist with driver development, will carry a Memorex paint scheme with Texaco/Havoline as the associate sponsor.

Brian will remain in the seat of the #10 Braun Toyota for this weekend's Busch race. Tune in to see both guys in action at 9:30 PM (EST) Saturday night on ESPN2.

YIPPEE!! This is exactly what he needs. The more experience he get the better he will become and be able to give better information to his team. We have already seen the difference in makes when he runs the truck first. Great Picture!!

this is just what should have been done since the beginning of the year. Hope AJ can transfer what he learns from a Dodge to the #84 Toyota easily, as well as learning from a winning crew chief.

Look at the practice charts...the #45 and #70 are near the bottom. The #83 needs a good lap and Sunday we could knock off 100 or so points, if BV can get a solid top 10.

Did y'all just catch that interview with Elton Sawyer? I had no clue he use to drive in the Busch series.

Good interview with AJ on SpeedTV a second ago...the highlights were mainly comments about the #42 Busch car...he says he likes it but the track never feels comfortable. He was also joking with the reporter...he's got a great sense of humor.

He and Brian lucked out with great qualifying draws. Let's hope for the best.

seebass that series is weak- you can tell that by the series having to cancel the last race of the year and weak car count-- IRL is pulling ahead

Bourdias you better hope the "3 amigos" don't decide to grab their toys and play some where else, cause the series will be done then and then where will you be?

I always turn the sound OFF when it comes to anything nascar. Its more enjoyable that way. I only turn the sound back on when they talk about TRB, the drivers, or with the drivers.

I'm not a Jimmy Spencer fan at all but I liked him in the booth during qualifying. He was getting so excited and he actually had nice things to say about BV and AJ which completely shocked me.
