Snake in the Dirt
At Phoenix International Raceway, it’s hot as hell with dry desert all around. There’s a mountain that overlooks turns 3 and 4 where fans can go to watch the race and of course, have a few brews. Where there’s Phoenix desert – there’s Phoenix snakes – rattle snakes at that. Before each Cup race the track has people come in and remove all of the snakes from the hills. When the race weekend ends, the snakes are returned back to the hill. Consider it a weekend getaway for the snakes. We went looking and listening for some rattlers they missed, but couldn’t find any. ok so i learned something new... didnt know that they removed the snakes for weekend and then brought them back....

What the heck is going on here, as a huge Vickers fan I'm starting to get a little jacked about all the DNQ's, with 3 girls I know about patients but lets go guys, when lesser funded teams are making the show it's starting to get old business here. Brian and Doug are not rookies, so when a huge Sponsor like Red Bull not making the show and State Water Heaters with Burton in, kinda sucks, I sure hope I'm not the only BV and TRB fan getting a little upset with this kind of performance, just being very passionate and honest about this deal, now that being said I realized that this could happen this year with Brian but holly cow didn't think it was going to be like this, I hope the team has as much fire about not making the show as the TRB and Brain Vickers fans do!! LETS GO GUYS

Anonymous..I almost cry everytime BV doesnt make it in..but I realize that it is a new team. We cant expect them to go out and be extremly successful from the start. They just need time. :)
I decided to wait after last night...I am sure that the guys that work at TRB feel the sting of yesterday more than those of us who are "just" fan(atics). Keep working hard guys, the good times will come and be sweeter for all of this. We are still behind you!

I had read that Toyota was helping Michael Waltrip to try to find out why the Toyotas are slow, but nothing about helping the other teams. I am sure that the problem is not the drivers, since they have both proven themselves in the past. Somebody somewhere needs to figure out how to get a couple more horsepower out of these cars and go over the handling setups.

Lets just back away from the panic button folks. TRB has outperformed the rest of the Toyota teams so far this year. The last time BV had a DNQ he followed up w/ a 10th place finish. TRB you are doing a great job! BV and AJ you guys are awesome! Looking forward to seeing you both @ Dega!
I refuse to watch any race that BV or AJ did not qualify for. It is not worth it. Go TRB! Nascar free weekend for me!
Oh man, I didn't get to watch qualifying last night bc I was at work. Sucks that the guys didn't make it, but I don't think its any lack of effort on the Team's part.
Ya'll will get em at Dega, we will need both of you guys in the show so you can draft together.
Dumb top 35 rule. Brian would have gotten in (43rd) if they would let the fastest drivers in and not worry about the points!
Any chance AJ wants to go run around in a tag kart on Sunday? PKRA is right up the 101. one of the best tracks in the country. just sayin the kids up there would be thrilled. Keep at it guys, keep up the hard work, its gotta be tough not making the race, but you got a bunch of us fans out here pulling for you. Im heading to PIR in a few minutes. gonna see if i cant get my hands on a Red Bull hat!
btw.. 5 iron and a garbage can works great to get those snakes out of the hills.. or your neighbors front porch as the case may be. ( and no i didnt whack the thing in the head with the 5 iron )

i am so disappointed that the teams didnt make the race. brian does great in the race, he just cant qualify well. need a new plan

EEEWWWW!!! Rattlesnakes. Hate snakes...the ones that squiggle on the ground and the human ones. ;-)
Yep - disappointed that the teams didn't make the race, but life goes on. Next weekend they will both qualify. We can't expect perfection the first season...next year? Yep - perfection!
Keep you heads up everyone! You guys have been doing awesome once you get into the race. Just keep working at it and never give up. Hopefully Toyota did what they said and help you guys with your SuperSpeedway cars because you for sure have one of the best SuperSpeedway drivers in BV.
When the going gets tough, the tough get going! We know Brian and TRB are tough!!! It all takes time and in the long run TRB WILL be on TOP!!! We know Brian and the 83 can race..........isn't that ultimately better than makin' every show and finishing 43rd every week..........heck yeah!!!
I'm proud to be a BV/TRB fan!!!! We're all behind you 100% Brian!!! Don't ever give up and BELIVE in YOURSELF because WE BELIEVE in YOU!!!
