Stock(Car)Yard Awaits

While it has certainly been an up and down two weeks for Team Red Bull, getting back to normalcy is always welcome. In NASCAR, that means getting back to the racetrack. This weekend it's that little ditty in Fort Worth. See the pic for this week's TRB press cartoon. If you've been to downtown Fort Worth, then you know what that scene represents. Fortunately, no Nextel Cup driver has gone faster around Texas Motor Speedway’s 1.5-mile oval than Brian Vickers. At last fall’s race in the No. 25 GMAC Chevrolet, Brian turned a Cup track-record lap (by over 2 mph) at 196.235 mph for his fourth career pole. It was the fastest pole in 2006. Beretta plans to present BV with the honorary pole rifle for his fall feat.

What car will Brian be using this weekend?

I remember reading somewhere that Doug wanted to take the Atlanta car. Were the guys in the shop able to fix it?

Good Luck Brian! We are all pulling for ya. Get that Pole!

Folks, if we get any more anti-Hybrid talk, these comment boards will come down. If you are anti-Hybrid, go somewhere else cause you are not welcome here.

I think that we should start ignoring the hybrid commentator. He will eventually get bored and go away. He is obviously a moron.

Alright, now the comments are moderated, thank goodness!

Yes, it would be awesome if "The Sheriff" became the first Toyota driver to get a pole, but I agree with the other person who said that I'll be happy no matter where he starts, if he makes the race (which he will).

GOOD LUCK THIS WEEKEND TEAM RED BULL!

To those asking if Brian's primary car is the rebuilt on from Atlanta, it is not. He has a newbie to work with, so we will all find out on Friday how it handles.

Time for my favorite Sheriff to be on the pole in his Toyota! Brian and Doug are a great duo and they will get this new car running perfectly.
