Racin' the Bases

Vickers was sporting his Racing the Bases charity softball game jersey last Thursday in Joliet, IL. The jersey was of course complete with his signature number 83 (yes folks, the 8.3 ounces reference still applies here.) Vickers said he’s no softball player, but anything goes for charity. Vickers choice position? He manned second base. Racin’ the Bases has been going strong for over 3 years and raised over $140,000 for Victory Junction Gang Camp. Vickers teamed up with fellow Cup driver Kurt Busch, media personalities, and local Chicago celebs to take home the win. Check out pics of BV at Silver Cross field here.

Those pictures are awesome. Thanks for giving us the link. Congratulations to Brian's team on the win. This is such a great event for charity. Definitly lets everyone forget about what is happening with the cars, and can just go out and have some fun.

I soo wanted to go but by the time I remembered about the game, it was too late to get off of work. Oh well, I'll definitely remember for next year.

My favorite position to play is first base!

That's honestly really cool.
Great for charity, great that they won, and it's a bright spot on the chicago weekend that didn't really have much positive..

I noticed on Jayski.com that Ginn Racing will not be running the #13until it can find sponsorship. Would it be out of place for red bull to purchase the teams owner points vaulting the 83 or 84 into the top 35?. If this is possible it could be a great move since Brian does fine once making the race, it is just getting into the race that is a problem.
