250+400 = R and R

Vickers made his first Busch debut of the year this , and an early morning it was with the green flag for the Winn-Dixie 250 falling at 9:22 AM. Vickers started from 12th on the grid and ran as high as 7th position early on before bringing the No. 32 Toyota home in 13th. 250 miles down - 400 to go. BV is running a double header today with the Cup race scheduled for tonight at 8 PM on TNT (fingers crossed that the rain god don't decide to soak Daytona again today!). He’ll have about a 6 hour break before the drivers meeting starts at 6 PM. What will he be doing during his break? A Red Bull merchandise trailer signing and you got it – a lot of R&R – rest and re-hydration. Catch BV in the Busch Series again in October at his hometown track of Lowe’s Motor Speedway.

Man a solid top 20 all night and the of all numbers (13) to run into you to ruin it. Nice Job Brian you deserved much better.

Yeah, the 83 looked like it had some grip issues as no matter what it stuck to the outside lane all night. Not really sure what the deal was, but when no one will work with you, and you get hung out to dry constantly, eventually someone runs into you.

An absolutely awesome race though. Easily the most fun I've had watching a race since the Coke 600

Yeah.......it's always someone else's crap! Nemecheck just hit my "black" list! Brian had a solid run going.....but at least he was in the race!

I like Nemechek a lot and he's definitely not a dirty driver or anything, but man that sucked for BV. He was doing a LOT better than I expected him to based on practice and the qualifying run, but like Reutimann's Talladega run, just found trouble at the end. Another thing that wasn't very good was that JoSauter finished 18th or so, which is just going to solidify his 35th place owner's position.

All in all, it wasn’t a bad night. Taking into consideration the fact that we weren’t able to push any one, it was hard to expect anyone to push us. I thought Brian did a great job running the car between 15th and 20th most all of the night with little to no drafting help.

Its unfortunate that the 13 got into us. I’m not sure if Joe lost his nose, or just didn’t know we were on the outside, but that will happen from time to time. I’m glad we finished on the lead lap. The points are important, but had it not been for the rain, the team would have been eating dinner in N.C. Any points are better than no points.

And so concludes the superspeedway races for that body style car. Off to Chicago to continue our efforts of moving forward.

The nacho’s are good, but I don’t want to fill up on them. Bring me back some pizza.

I had fun at the race yesterday until Nemecheck had to ruin it! Good learning experience, even if it is just to cut the car up or use it for a show car...lol Way to hang in there last night TRB!!!
