Poetry in Motion

Brian Vickers is back in Busch.
But trust us, this duty is far from cush.

He’ll wrestle the banking with Braun.
If there’s rain, NASCAR will stay here ’til dawn.

The former champ’s other task is the draft,
Where BV is known to kick some serious ass.

The ultimate goal, however, is riding the Red Bull.
And taking the Nextel Cup field to school.

It won’t be easy,
Because in July, Daytona’s surface is rather greasy.

Handling and horsepower can make it or break it,
And plate racing can stir up some serious $%&*!

So go Brian, go AJ, go Red Bull Racing.
Good luck Friday in qualifying.

Scattered thunderstorms at Daytona Beach, FL tomorrow from 1 PM - 7 PM. Be on the lookout, if qualifying is rained out, BV is in the field. If it isn't, he'll just have to race his way in. Here's hoping for rain just so I don't have to sit through a nerve filled Tivoing of qualifying tomorrow.

Ugh, I don't think that lap will make it (and doesn't bode well for AJ either based on practice). It just sucks... I hope both BV and AJ have patience and can ride this bad stretch out.

fox qualifying blog states that marty gaunt is concerned about both brian and aj making the race. can red bull tell us why he is concerned? obviously bdr has something we don't have at red bull. not complaining just want to understand.

There is no way a brand new team can be up to speed with all the different types of cars that they had to build. Superspeedway, downforce, COT for flat track, short tracks and road courses. They can't expect to be as competitive with the long term teams with all the different cars they have to build and be competitive with

Greetings from my Blackberry! NASCAR just scrubbed Nextel Cup Quals, Brian makes the race. Stinks for AJ, he had a great lap.

Someone do a rain dance. I wanna see some Busch racin'.

Ok, so the rain gods let Red Bull get one car in...now I want to know how its going to draft, because as far as practice goes I don't think Brian was in the draft once.

I agree with some of the sentiments posted above. I'm not gonna be negative about it, but hopefully TRB can find something in the super speedway program and get the cars up to par with everyone else. I think we can all admit that making the race today was a litle bit of luck. Here's to hoping the car can run well in the draft and maybe even get out in front and lead a few laps. We all know Brian can lead at the big tracks if he gets a chance. At this point, we'll take any way into the race we can. Here's to some good night racing this weekend!

TRB desreves some luck. Those guys work hard, so I don't feel bad about getting in the race! There are plenty of bad luck days so it is nice to see one go their way.
