Pontoon Heads

While much of the team is busy today testing at Charlotte for second day in a row, or building/prepping cars in the raceshop, employees do get some days off here and there, although not many thanks to the NASCAR schedule. But on a recent weekend, the Parts Dept. decided to do some "bonding" and scurry off to Lake Norman for a day of boating. To cut to the end of the story, the Watercraft boat never made it to water, resulting in a Non-Conformance Report by the team's Quality Control Dept. (see picture and report description). The rather large pontoon fell off the rather small trailer while driving to the marina. Swift afoot, the crew were able to prop it up again on the trailer and safely make it to the marina, but the key to start the engine didn't make it with them. Ah, yes. A missing part. End of day.

That centrifugal force is some tricky stuff. Does anyone know if either car is testing at Dover next week? If so, I'm taking a day off to check them out.

Wow!!! Looks like something my buddies have done before. I'm wondering the same thing C is...Did y'all find the key?

How are AJ and Brian liking the car on Lowe's Motor Speedway? I've seen the speeds but haven't seen any quotes from the boys.

While I have yet to see the evening speed chart, it was nice to see Team Red Bull near the top in the afternoon speeds.

It would only be fair to note that the cars from P-1 to P-83 all timed within a one second bracket.

The 600 is going to be another close qualifying session.

Nope we never found the key, and then on the way home one of the two axles broke.

Interesting day to say the least.

Elvis,

It sounded like a very interesting day. If I would have saw y'all on the side of the road, I would have stopped to help. I'm pretty good at finding lost keys. LOL!

Thanks for keeping the TRB fans informed with everything going on in and out of the shop. It makes us really feel like part of the family.

Good luck to both teams at Darlington.
