Race Day Report From HMS

Ok - we give in. It took 36 races, but we're finally tired of hearing complaints that you don’t get team updates from the track all weekend. You want to know what’s going on as we prep for race day? Ask and ye shall receive…

Darren is prepping race tires.
Brian is doing a meet & greet.
Barry is stocking the Red Bull fridge.
Chris is making lunch.
Abbie is working on travel.
Elton is doing an interview.
Jeremy is pulling up a file on his computer.
“Bama” is pouring ice into the cooler.
Kyle is looking for credential holders.
Fans are walking through the garage.

Snore…Oh, sorry, we’re still here. There’s your official report from Homestead-Miami Speedway.

FINALLY. Oh, hey can you do something about the link from www.teamredbull.com for merchandies that goes to nascar.com and the only merch you can buy there for vickers is some 2006 GMAC garbage. Now why would Team Red Bull not have a link to their own merchandise? Wow, if that is the best you can do no wonder you can't make the top 35. Probably should focus on the Nationwide Tour next year until you get your act together, this really is amature hour. Vickers never should have left Hendrick.

Hey anon There was Vickers REd Bull Merchandise their ealier this season but his stuff sold out fast because that is where I got my BV RB merchandise ealier before I made it to the race track. So will you please quit complaining here on the blog because some of us Red Bull really enjoy reading the blog day by day and week by week no what they blog is about.

Brian was released from the infield care center shortly after the incident and is now safely resting in his motorhome. His prognosis - he's going to be just fine! Thanks for checking in on him.

Glad to know that Brian is okay after that hit. It looked horrible! Hopefully he and AJ have a better 2008 season. Both guys deserve nothing but the best. Rest up TRB! Speedweeks will be here before you know it.

Just got back from the race and I have a question...how can the #83 do so well in qualifying and happy hour to complete crap within the first 10 laps of the race? I heard BV complain about the tires chattering and no grip and he dropped like a brick. Hated to see the wreck due to the # 10 but the way the race was going it at least put the #83 out of their misery. Hopefully we will have a better year in 08!

I was at the race and something apparently was wrong with the car. The team seemed very confident before the race started-repeatedly stating the car was good and fast in HH. There seemed to be a mechanical problem of some kind, and they never got a long enough caution to check it out thoroughly. I reccomend a scanner if you go to the races- I can't imagine watching a race without one, it gives you insight to what is going on with the team and the car.
