"Robert Yates did contact us awhile back to see if we were interested in talking with him about purchasing his building or his teams. We weren't - so the conversation ended there. We're committed to building our team from scratch and making our cars competitive. We don't have plans to buy anyone else's team."(Red Bull VP of Competition, Guenther Steiner statement)(10-18-20)

That's to bad! There is so much of RYR that could help TRB, especially the owner points!

Looks like the RYR deal is off, I doubt the VP of Competition would make a statement like that if there was any hope...

Worst case scenario: BV would race only one more race this year, Bush race at Phoenix. AJ not sure if he is scheduled for any remaining Bush or Truck races. If qualifying for the cup races goes south then these guys might not be racing until next year and then who knows what will happen. Not good for the fans or TRB!

Anonymous stop looking at the glass as it is half empty. Charlotte was only one race it was not the end of the world! BV and AJ will again be strong this weekend and the rest of the year.

Brian, this would be a worst case scenario. However Charlotte wasn’t a one time event…out of 31 starts BV has 19 and AJ 14. Reality. From a “Fan’s” perspective I would love for TRB to purchase RYR just for the owner points so my driver would be guarantee to race.

I hope they make the race this weekend and the races for the remainder of the season!

Was it really necessary to post the WORST-Possible scenario? I mean seriously...we should all be focusing on the positive not the negative! I agree with Brian...one race ISN'T the end of the world...and as far as 19 and 14 races, for a new team, it could be worse...look at Kevin Lepage and Jeremy Mayfield...

I know someone will say I'm looking at things with "rose-colored" glasses, but I DO understand the reality, I just don't think we need to focus on the worst possible outcome! It's time for some positive thinking in here!

Good Luck tomorrow and for the rest of the season boyz! We know you can do it!

WE BELIEVE!!!

Daaaannnnnnng!! Worse case scenario? Holy cow! I surely don't want to focus on that. All together now - Ooohhhmmm... BV and AJ will make the race... Ooohhhmmm... and again... Ooohhhmmm... BV and AJ will make the race... and again... :-)

All this time and I still dont think some of you get it. RYR was only looking to sell their shop so they could relocate. They were NEVER gonna sell the team!
I respect TRB for all of the hard work they are putting into their program. All they want is to build their program from the ground up. They absolutly DON"T want it to be said that they only made it in NASCAR because they rode in on someones coat-tails.

There are alot of ups and downs in this sport(trust me. I know.)There are likly to be more "bad" days down the road. As long as they keep looking toward the future, and trying their best,I'll always help carry the torch for them.

All TRB wants is to be able to look themselfs in the mirror when the day is done.
I know that ALL of their efforts will pay off, and sucess is not much further down the road. I can't tell you when, but trust me when I say that I'll still be here backing the team when it happens.
I just hope my face doesnt brake from the smile I'm likly to get.
