Atlanta Trifecta

Brian Vickers No. 83 gas man, Doug Newell, (see Doug in action on left) has earned the newly coined “Atlanta Trifecta” crown - winning at Atlanta in all three NASCAR Series - Cup, Busch and Truck. The NASCAR pit crew veteran earned the third victory yesterday pitting for Kyle Busch’s #51 Truck. Doug's third trip to Victory Lane at AMS was preceded by wins with Mark Martin in the Busch Series, and Kurt Busch in the Cup Series. So if BV crosses the checkered flag in first today, Doug will have to upgrade his “Trifecta” title to…what? Let's hope we have to figure that out today...

Way to lead your first career lap in your NASCAR career AJ. Way to hang in their BV and AJ. Since I have meet in Charlotte three weeks ago he has got his best finishes in the last three races, been the top rookie in two of the three. So I think I have luck for my drivers after I meet them. I'm saying that because when I meet BV in Kansas in '06 he went out and got his best finish and Kansas then the following week he went out and got his first career Cup win.

Awesome job BV and the 83 crew and to AJ and the 84 crew.

What a great day in Atlanta! Brian and the 83 team gets a Top 10, followed by AJ and the 84 team getting Rookie of the race honors. Definitly a way to start the last 3 races of the season. Hopefully they learn somethings in the test tomorrow and Tuesday to take back with them in March. Good luck tomorrow.

Congratulations to both teams!! I knew it was going to be a great weekend. I know you didn't feel confident about this weekend AJ but just do what you do! Everything always falls in to place with hard work. You deserve to run with the top ten all the time. It will come! Keep it up.

GREAT JOB AJ & THE WHOLE 84 TEAM!!!
Know that was less than a stellar car you had on Sunday but you all worked hard and it pays off in the end. Highest Rookie again - wish you had a real chance running for Rookie of the Year, you could have given them a run for it! Glad to see BV back in to make it one of the best team efforts all year. Lets do it again in Texas!! GO AJ!
