Premiere Footage

Premiere TV, a German television station, was on hand at the shop today to shoot some feature segments with Red Bull Racing. This is the same station that airs the NASCAR races LIVE in Germany. It seems the NASCAR fanbase is growing overseas! What Premiere hopes to do is shoot some footage of specific things many fans would not usually have access to seeing. These segments will air throughout the NASCAR season.

One focus today was "AJ's office," which is essentially just what the inside of his car looks like and how it works. AJ explained the different parts of his cockpit, the instrument panel, and talked about some of the differences between the inside of stock cars versus open wheel cars. The crew was also interested in other stuff like the differences between the current car and the COT, what is kept inside a tool box, and what it is like to be a spotter. The crew will be following Red Bull Racing throughout all of All-Star weekend.

Speaking of "All-Star" Weekend, are the RED BULL cars going to be decked out in special paint schemes? I think we'd all like to see that!

Hate to disappoint, but no special paint schemes are in the works. There is a very good reason why not, but just can't divulge it. However, you may notice a little bit of snazzy light reflection coming from the cars at certain angles. May show up better in person than on TV. Won't know until we try.

Any chance these video features will be on the net? or otherwise available? they sound interesting, id like to hear what AJ has to say about the difference between the open wheel cockpit and the nascar cockpit. good stuff.

I thought we were TEAM Red Bull, and Red Bull Racing was the F1 team. Am I wrong or just too damn picky?
