Rookie No Longer!
Red Bull Racing has been testing the COT in Nashville the past two days to begin preparation for the 2008 NASCAR Sprint Cup season. And what was the first thing AJ wanted to do upon arriving in Nashville? Remove the rookie stripe from his car!
The infamous yellow stripe donned the No. 84 car for the entirety of the '07 season. The NASCAR-sanctioned stripe is basically just a signal for other drivers to race with a little extra caution near a rookie...or some may say the yellow stripe is a way for the veterans to "target" the rookies. Either way, no one would disagree that AJ definitely paid his rookie dues this season.
AJ ended the season 5th in the '07 Raybestos Rookie of the Year standings, but gained a lot of ground in the last quarter of the season by earning two Rookie of the Race titles (Charlotte, October 13 & Atlanta, October 28). We know AJ is anxious to put his up-and-down rookie season behind him and show the NASCAR world that he is ready to race with the 'veterans' in '08!

AJ will show 'em this year along with Brian, we no longer are a new team and can show our stuff!!!! We'll have wings this year and race each week!!! We need this track time and hope there will be lots more before the new year starts. We know we have two good drivers and great teams. Rookie year gone for AJ and the teams!
WE BELIEVE
Aw, I totally forgot that AJ gets to take his rookie stripes off! Cognrats! :) How did testing go?
Congrats AJ its time to have them Rookie Stripes removed. In my opinion Team Red Bull as a whole had their Rookie Stripes removed because we are longer the new team in NASCAR in 2008, but we still have the youngest driver duo in NASCAR in '08. Let's Go Gett'em in Daytona Boyz. Daytona 500 is in 80 days, 15 hours, 38 minutes, and 48 seconds.
Are you upset with the performance of our favorite team??? You may want to start supporting this guy, jeremy campbell with me, take a look at his web site and you'll understand

Lets hope this year is better!! By the way, go to espn.com and read Marty Smith latest blog, it's really fun!!
Forgot about those stripes too! I think in the Rookie Class Meeting at the end of the year on ESPN AJ and JPM talked about how those stripes were like haveing a bullseye on the back of your car. Cant wait for the new year - hope there is alot of testing and learning over the next few months. We know our teams and drivers are the best.
Go Red Bull Racing! You will have a lot more fans this year to cheer you on and no rookie team, this will be the year every one will know about RED BULL in Nascar.
AJ you have come along way and the rookie stripes are gone, you'll have a better year in 08.
Does anyone know when the next highlight reel will come out? THANKS!!! :)
