It is raining... AGAIN!

Well, in keeping with the theme of the season so far, it is raining at the racetrack... yet again!! And it doesn't seem to be clearing up anytime soon. In the picture above you can see the view looking out of the #84 hauler into turn 4 at NHIS.

The original schedule for today was Cup practice from 9:00-9:50am, Truck qualifying at 10:05 am, Cup final practice from 11:30 am-12:30 pm, and the Truck race at 3:00 pm. Right now NASCAR hopes to be able to get in an hour of Cup practice, then run the Truck race, which would line up by owner points due to qualifying being rained out. That may be wishful thinking though as the radar shows rain for as far as you can see - the whole state of New Hampshire actually appears in green.

The good news is the forecast is clear for tomorrow's Cup race. We will keep you posted on the lastest developments in today's schedule. NASCAR will do all they can to get the Truck race in - and we hope to see AJ in action in the 00 Red Bull Tundra at some point today!

Rain, Rain, Go Away! The NASCAR boys want to play. Mother Nature definitly isn't a NASCAR fan this year. What is with all the rain? It's ridiculous. Hopefully the Cup boys will be able to practice some and we'll be able to see AJ in the truck race. Good luck today, AJ!

Well, this stinks! Looks like we'll be seeing a competition caution tomorrow. Those are always so much fun! LOL. Is it definite we'll see truck racing today? I haven't seen the forecast. Good luck AJ.

AJ almost lost one of his wheels.....bad vibration...it was loose, about to fall off....crew guys said "that was close." Caused him to pit early, around lap 19. Put him 2 laps down, pitting on the green. He was running with the top 5 guys, although he was 2 laps down. The truck was tight, but bareable. Then his engine blew up. We were done on lap 103 ish.

Tough break for AJ in the truck race. It was great watching him race with the front runners. Next thing you know it shows AJ as being out and never once did they even mention it on TV. You would think with it being Waltrips team he might take the time to mention what happened to his truck! Go get 'em tomorrow AJ!

I'm very happy that both cars made the race, but the COT program has to pick it up. There is too much talent on both teams not to be running in the top 20 consistently. But, it's race day, and we'll hope for the best!

Wow...not even 30 laps in, and Vicker's car is junk. This Car of Tomorrow is an achilles heel for the #83

This is so frustrating.

I'd lose it right now if Petty and Riggs weren't running so badly. I'm guessing the car has mechanical problems if it is 10 laps down, but of course, ESPN isn't reporting anything. Anyone know what happened to the #83?

They did say something about BV getting a black flag and not being scored, but of course they didn't say why.

Hopefully they are using this as a test session now. Vickers is running some decent laps lately. Hopefully they learn something for Dover

Well...needless to say, it was a bad day for the #83 team, but the team didn't lose more than 44 points to the 10, 21, 22, and 45. So, yes, bad day, but not disasterous. They've just got to get better on the car of tomorrow.
