Raining Cats & Dogs

Gray skies yesterday brought out the weather man in us all guessing and watching the radar to see if we were going racing, but mid-day rain gave a preview of what was to come. The skies opened up and poured down on Dover International Speedway until 1:52 PM when a small break in the rain was enough to tease the jet driers into coming out onto the track. That was short lived – the rains came down again and never let up. The race was called at 2:15 PM, just after the teams were told to bring their cars to the garages from pit road. AJ and Brian went up to the Red Bull merchandise trailer to sign autographs for the loyal fans still milling around in the rain. Those watching would have questioned who was having more fun – AJ and Brian picking on each other – or the fans getting entertained from out in the rain! Dover’s postponement is the third race rescheduled so far this year – Richmond and Darlington were also rescheduled due to rain. The Autism Speaks 400 starts at Noon (EST) today on Fox. Tune in…

Anyone know what happened to Brian? Did he have to pit because of a tire? As usual FOX does a horrible job of covering anyone but the top drivers.

yea I know I want to know what happened to him too...he is doing a really good job of staying infront of the leaders to get one of his laps back though

Ya if he can just get to be only 1 lap down he should be able to get the lucky dog.

Sounds like something happened to the tire, but I could be wrong. He is doing a great job. I just love the communication between Brian and Doug. Those two make a perfect combo.

Keep going Vickers!! WE BELIEVE.

Great job out there. 19th (I think, results havent came out). Only if you guys cought a break and never got trapped two laps down due to a shitty tire and a green track.

Go TRB!

Ya great job everyone today to battle back! I think we gain about 33 pts on 35th place in Owner points. Just keep chipping away at it.

Great car guys! They were one of the strongest cars on the track. (Steve Letarte's opinion, not mine) Best Toy's in the field AGAIN! Good job.

For those of you who missed it, Brian had a tire going down so he had to pit off sequence. But they came back great! A top 20 @ the Monster is a good day!

Congrats to Brian and the 83 crew on a great come-back and an awesome car! Good Luck @ Pocono!!

WE BELIEVE!!!

I was at work and had the radio on along with the scanner and live leaderboard. Brian was like 8th when I had to take a couple of phone calls from clients. I about had a heart attack when I got back to my computer and found Brian in 40th! Great job staying calm and working your way back up to 19th!!!

I know this question probably gets beat into the ground, and I just want to say that I'm sorry beforehand but where can I get some TRB merchandise? I really like the hat that is behind Brian in the picture. HELP!!!

Thank you both for helping me. I couldn't find that exact hat on Brian's website though, all they had was the distressed version and the one behind him has cool flames.

I'll find it, if it's the last thing I do. Guess it's good that I'm going to a race soon.

Way to go Brian and 83 team today. It was awesome to see y'all bounce back and finish in the Top 20.

what does japan and pearl harbor have to do with us supporting brian vickers...someone explain that to me

5:50 AM
Anonymous Anonymous said...

And what does an Austrian Company (Red Bull) have to do with Pearl Harbor?

6:50 AM
Anonymous Anonymous said...

Don't you guys remember the Toyota-hybrid planes that bombed Pearl Harbour? It is not like Dodge is owned by a GERMAN company or anything! We should all be ashamed that we support an American driver who drives a car built by Americans. Don't feed the trolls!

I love my Kentucky-made Toyota. Gets great gas mileage. yay for saving money on gas so I can shop more and bolster the economy!

AJ and Brian did a great job on a hard track. Our boys rule! And Brian gaining two spots in the standings - yeah, he's 284 out of 35th, but the more races he's in, getting top 20 finishes, the more chances those on the bubble will screw up and he'll get in.

ha! Japanese made...ridiculous, ignorant fool. I can NOT believe we are back on that topic, so I'll stop now and try not to perpetuate the ignorance of the poster who brought up Pearl Harbor. Bastard.

The 284 points is DRIVER points which are different than OWNERS points, Jayski has Brian 39th, just 180 points out Top 35 in OWNERS points which is what qualifying is based off of.

Things are definately looking up for Brian and TRB!!! Bring on Pocono!!!

WE BELIEVE!!!

D'oh! I always forget to look at Owner's Points. (Partially because NASCAR.com makes it hard to find.)

Yay for less of a points margin!

I was looking at the owner's point yesterday and told one of my friends that all that needs to happen is for Brian to win and Jay Sauter to finish 43. I know it's wishful thinking but still!

5:09 PM
Anonymous Anonymous said...

its not wishful thinking because pocono is brians best track(I think) he hasnt finished worst than 4th(once again I think) in the last 4 races or something like that

5:02 AM
Anonymous Anonymous said...

I like your thinking Krystle and Brian is awesome at Pocono but if Johnny Sauter finishes last he gets somewhere around 34 pts and the most Brian could get would be around 195 pts. It would be close but still would need another race. Lets hope it happens though that would be awesome!
