Yes, AJ did lead a lap. But that was Atlanta-2. Not in the first half ... or the first 18 races. Thanks for keeping the stats, though. Nice to have a proof-reader.

Brian will be on NASCAR Race Day's segment "The Real Deal" tomorrow afternoon. Hope everyone gets to watch it!

He isn't happy with 1st practice. There is a lot of tire chatter. He says if he can get that fixed they will be great.

lovinbv83... stats, you keep your own stats. Now that's what I call a dedicated fan. That's way cool and you're awesome!!! You make me feel unworthy to say I'm a dedicated fan of BV, AJ and RBRT. Oh well, I'll just have to get over it, huh? Go get 'em boys!

Brian was tied with the #99 car with the fastest average lap time in the final practice tonight. We may have an extremely good car tomorrow night.

Yes I do keep my stats for every race and I'm proud of it. I have only missed two races in the last few years.

Awesome race BV and the whole 83 team! You guys are getting closer and closer to the chase. Up to 14th in points.

I love coming to this blog after BV does well, but when BV and AJ both do well - well that's a whole nother story. It looked like the 83 was pitiful on restarts. I didn't use my trackpass this week to see if maybe I could use that as a "good luck charm."

I also feel like even when we run well, we kinda get disrespected. The whole thing with Petty saying "how many times have we seen the 83 team do this and be in the right place at the right time." It's more than just luck Kyle, the 83 has been damn good all year.

It's still so amazing to see BV and the 83 getting closer and closer to the chase every week. We just need to put together 7 good weeks, and let whatever happens happen. I, like many of you, get more and more nervous every week for the 83 being in Victory Lane.

It's good to be heading into an off week with a great finish.

Did you know that they got 6th with a blown engine? It went at some point on that last lap.

Way to go #84 team. Helluva debut for Jimmy Elledge at Red Bull. I thought AJ was going to get his first top 10 for sure. RBRT has make big gains on the flat tracks recently. I hope that story stays the same at Indianapolis for our guys. The #83 team is doing awesome, they just need some luck, and by luck I mean that the guys 8th-13th in points need to have a bad race.

Oh and I'm glad that the TNT coverage is over too. RaceBuddy was pretty sweet though, I enjoyed that.

Great Job TRB! Good Finish for the 84 and Great Finish for the 83.
It's more than moving up positions; it's all in the points. Being consistent and having good finishes will get the 83 into the chase!

95 pts away from 12th
104pts away from 11th
120pts away from 10th

Nomar, I agree with you 100% about Kyle Petty. Bill Weber did take notice when BV is hauling ass, but yeah everyone ignored Bill, even the guys in the booth sometimes. Hopefully the ESPN guys will give Red Bull the recognition they deserve.

KCMO person I don't about you but I'm sure ready for the Kansas race this year especially if we make the Chase. Kansas will be sweet this year. Awesome job BV and AJ on the great runs. Jimmy did one helluva of job in his first race at TRB. Enjoy the week off guys u all deserve it. Brick by brick and inch by inch were building one helluva of a race team. Now all of the teams need to do is figure out a way to stop the Kyle and the 18 team.

BV is kicking ass every single week!!! Another top 10 finish this week, the Chase is going to be ours!!! Is it me, or does the 83 always seem slow on restarts every race? Hell of a race buddy! Going into the offweek with some MOJO.

Good job AJ and Elledge!! They were top 10 material all night, they are on the cusp of knocking down top 10 and top 5 finishes.

All around it was a great week for TRBR!!!!!

On to Indy!

Aj had a top 20 car and consistently kept it top 10 most of the race, he took that car to its limits. Excellent job 84 team!

I think we can expect this from the 83 team from now on, theyve found something thats working for them so hats off to you guys.

AJ really impressed tonight

AJ and Jimmy did an awesome job! I like that Jimmy takes a few chances on leaving AJ out during some pitstops. I think that is one of the things that hurt Ricky Viers. He didn't take any chances and in that sense lost many positions for AJ. Jimmy made just the right amount of changes and kept the car pretty good for AJ. He didn't go too far one way or the other. They seem to work great together. I look for great things for "the new chapter" as AJ said. The pit crew did a great job, too of getting him out early and keeping him in the top 15.

lovinbv83: I can't wait until Kansas! Last year was such a bummer, but this year-I'm so excited that I can't wait until then... You know, it would be awesome if the first points win would come before Kansas, but personally, I would be absolutely beside myself if that first win comes at Kansas!

To everyone at Red Bull- take a break, relax at bit on this off week, and come back swinging at Indy!

One more thing- I, too, am glad that TNT is done for the season, but I also am NOT looking forward to ABC/ESPN. Their coverage was WAY worse than TNT's has ever been. For that reason, I already can't wait til Daytona in February when FOX comes back. They, in my opinion, are the best bunch of broadcasters on TV. Thank goodness for the mute button on the remote control and for MRN! Can't forget Trackpass either!

YES! See what a great crew chief can do for you AJ?!?! GREAT call midway through on keeping AJ out instead of pitting! They got the caution 30 laps after and were able to keep that track position. I can just see RV pulling AJ in and ending up in 30th and forcing AJ to fight his way back up front again. So, excellent call JE, And exclellent driving AJ!! Too bad that car was a little too tight, you might have been top 5! Good night for both the RB cars!

KCMO: I would be super excited if they won at Kansas that would just make my birthday present so much sweeter. I was bummed last year to then my fmily had to rub it into me that BV did make the race so this year will be totally different. Now I can sit back an relax and enjoy the races this year and Cheer for BV and the 83 team to victory lane. Then I will have a few days of recovery before I head to Charlotte for the races and my drive along.

Yea how many restarts did they miss by a few seconds because their damn commercials went over? Did we really need to cut away from the RACE coverage to see larryMac doing a magician act with a saw??? I mean come on really. Do they really need to cut away from the RACE coverage to show us what happened to Carl Edwards' Splitter???? TNT....2/3 of your coverage WAS about Carl Edwards!!! For 5 straight minutes all we saw was closeups of His splitter falling off, We got it!!! So long TNT!

Ok that is all :)

AJ lost a few spots with a slower stop the last time they pitted - but otherwise I think a very positive day for the 84 team. If they could do this the first day together just think what they should be able to do once they actually get to know each other!!
