AJ and fellow Raybestos Rookie of the Year contender Juan Pablo Montoya had a few moments after qualifying Sunday to talk about how their cars were handling on the race track and share stories about their transition into NASCAR. And the consensus is they are both ready to get the season started! Actually, all the drivers have been great to AJ - whether it's at a restaurant, media event or at the gym, they have all given him lots of advice and support.

Cup practice resumes tomorrow in Daytona - drafting practice to prepare for Thursday's Duels!

Oh and as promised, here is a photo of AJ breaking in his new karaoke machine Sunday evening at his motorcoach... he tore it up!!

Haha, go AJ!

It's really great to hear that the drivers have been so good to him.

And a totally unrelated note: with the news of all the penalties that have been handed down, I'm really proud to be a TRB fan right now. You guys would have much more reason to want to "push the envelope" too far right now considering you have no guaranteed spots in the 500 (in comparison with EMS having all 3 cars guaranteed in,) but you guys are putting in the time and effort to do it right, knowing all the while that you might get nothing right now from those efforts but that they will pay off in the long run, and I really appreciate and admire that! So THANK YOU for making your fans proud!
