Traffic Alert

For those of you who will make the journey to Atlanta Motor Speedway this weekend, beware of the traffic nightmare that is Hwy. 19-41. Known as being one of the worst tracks to get in and out of, and in a city widely known for its own traffic issues, Atlanta Motor Speedway does offer a back way if you check a detailed map. Each week, Team Red Bull prepares an "advance" that has news, notes and quotes for auto racing media to digest prior to race weekend. To keep it lively, an editorial cartoon is included in each advance (see pic of this week's toon). Sometimes the theme is team or driver-oriented. Sometimes the theme is NASCAR-oriented. And sometimes it is location-specific, as the case for this week. Let us know your thoughts on this aerial view of AMS.

Does anyone know where Brian got the name Sheriff from?

I think I know where he got the nickname from. He was on Jimmie's XM show last year with Marty Smith, and Marty was giving him a hard time about his gun collection. The whole show he kept calling him Sherrif; it was so funny I had tears running down my face I was laughing so hard!

Apparently if it rains today BV has a good chance of making it in since he won a race last year. But lets pray for NO RAIN! Come on BV and AJ, you can do it! Good luck, Team Red Bull.

Good luck to the whole Redbull team. I use to be only an open-wheel fan, but after AJ won in Toronto last year.., he won the hearts of Canadians...especially since he moved here, and sparked our interest in cars with roofs! Now many of my Canadian friends that are racing fans follow AJ and his progress. We are behind him 100%. Hope he knows he has fans north of the border too! Don't forget about us!

thats really funny. Ive gotten phone calls from the AMS parking lot.. it's extremely ridiculous. Atlanta's traffic in general is ridiculous. I hate driving through that city.
